Sometimes, the most beautiful adventures begin with a simple idea—and for us, it was the dream of capturing our love somewhere magical. My husband and I packed up and traveled from Idaho to Ashton Gardens in Lehi, Utah, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve shared together.
As soon as we arrived, we were surrounded by lush greenery, blooming flowers, and the serene beauty that Ashton Gardens is known for. It felt like we had stepped straight into a storybook. The gardens were vibrant and peaceful, and everywhere we turned was more beautiful than the last.
Rose Garden Magic
One of our favorite spots was the rose-covered archway—a breathtaking structure wrapped in delicate pink and white roses. It felt like it was made just for us. Standing beneath it with my husband, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude, love, and a little bit of awe at the beauty around us.
These photos captured more than just how we looked that day—they captured how we felt. The laughter, the quiet moments, the way we held hands walking through the garden paths… it was all so special.
Pro tip:
Some helpful advice for anyone planning a visit: rent a golf cart! Ashton Gardens is quite large, and having a golf cart made it so much easier (and more fun!) to explore all the best photo spots without getting too tired or feeling rushed. It gave us time to soak in each area, stop wherever the light was perfect, and enjoy the ride together through the winding paths of the garden.

A Journey to Remember
Capturing this part of our journey meant more to me than I can express. As a photographer, I often get to witness other couples in love—but being on the other side of the lens reminded me just how valuable these memories are. It’s not just about pretty pictures—it’s about preserving a feeling. A reminder that no matter how hectic life gets, this love is home.
I’ll forever cherish the stillness, the romance, and the genuine emotion from that evening at Ashton Gardens. And I’m so thankful we chose to make that trip.
If you’ve ever considered doing a couples session—whether it's for an anniversary, a getaway, or just because—my advice is: do it. Take the time. Go somewhere beautiful. Let yourselves be fully present. You won’t regret it.
With love,
Alexis
